Our hot water heater failed suddenly last night, so this morning phone around for help. A couple of plumbers wanted to get to us some time next week, but Plumbing Mastered answered the phone, allows me to explain what has happened and we're able to help me today. I had to schedule the visit on their website, always a dismaying prospect, but I already had the promise of help. I received an email with my visit scheduled for 12-2pm almost immediately. The plumber who came (at 12:30) knew all about our problem and was very informative and clear about our options. He was able to order the new water heater in front of us, with the price openly discussed. The rest of the process of installation, extra hardware, labor etc.  was reviewed and the cost clearly explained. By 4:30 the job was done, cleaned up and we now have hot water again. Plumbing Mastered LLC provided outstanding service from start to finish. Mr. Don arrived on time, was highly professional, patiently answered my many questions, and offered valuable expert advice. After experiencing a significant water leak, Plumbing Mastered upgraded my laundry room’s water line connections by installing a larger washer outlet box, new water-hammer arrestors and valves, and replacing portions of the hot and cold CPVC lines with copper to help reduce the risk of future cracks and leaks. UPDATE: Recently, I came back from vacation and discovered that my sump pump had stopped working, and part of my basement was flooded. I called Don, at Plumbing Mastered, and he was at my house the next morning. He replaced the sump-pump and also repaired an issue with an outside spigot. He tightened the shutoff valve, which was leaking. After that repair, it was discovered that the vacuum for the spigot was broken. He informed me that it was a discontinued part, and he might be able to obtain one, from a supplier in Beltsville. I told him that, if he could not locate a replacement, I would just pay for a newer replacement (which would have been @$650). He stopped by while I was away from home, and repaired the spigot. Don did not charge me for the part or the extra time, although I offered. It was appreciated. Don is not the cheapest guy, but I believe that he is worth it, in terms of timeliness and quality of work. I had an issue with sporadic water pressure trickling to a very low flow. After online appt. Was scheduled, Don came around the time stated. Was very candid about my not needing work done right away. He adjusted the pressure valve, and stated that I could get by for a while. He also stated that I did not owe him anything for the visit. I was impressed by his candor. He did not try to sell me services that I did not need. Based on his honesty, I inquired about my 80 gallon hot water heater. He also said that I did not need to replace it immediately. He pointed out that, during the 27 years that I had the water heater, there has been some changes in the code, and that I was currently out of code. Not to scare me, but to inform me. I had Don replace the pressure valve and the hot water heater. There was a corroded section of copper pipe. Don replaced the corroded section without additional cost. Although the work was not cheap, I thought that it was necessary. The day after the work was done, an inspector from Howard County came out to perform an inspection, and commented that Don did “a beautiful job.” I highly recommend.
